Description

The challenging, out-and-back Whisky Row Marathon starts at 5,300 feet and climbs to 7,000 feet over the first 7 miles. The course the descends to below 6,000 feet at the halfway turn around.

Runners then retrace the route by climbing back up to 7,000 feet and descending to the finish back at 5,300 feet.

The course consists of paved road for the first and last 5 miles. The remainder of the course is on a forest service dirt road.

Review
I ran the half marathon in 2013. Prescott is an awesome little town and good vibes all around. I finished 1:54:06.

Race Tips
For that HM there is a very hilly section about 5 miles in. Best to walk that section as you won't likely lose any time. If you try and run that section you will hurt yourself. Don't worry, on the way back you will make up so much time.
